A detailed presentation on VLSI ecosystem and how to improve it was made to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Dr. Kalam shared his insights and ways to improve the ecosystem in the country. At an informal level, Dr. Kalam is going to guide Powai Labs and plans to regularly meet the top research team of Powai Labs at IIT Bombay and at Delhi.
On a personal note, Reapan Tikoo suggested to President APJ Abdul Kalam to visit Kashmir Refugee Camps at Jammu. On June 26, 2003, President Kalam was the first President of India to visit these camps, since they came into existence in early 1990. |
